The World Bank and ESMAP Return as Co-Hosts of GEOLAC 2026

For 12 years, GEOLAC has been the region's largest meeting-place for the Latin American and Caribbean geothermal market.

For 2026, GEOLAC heads to Mexico City on February 12, co-hosted once again by the World Bank and ESMAP. The event will gather 250+ leaders to advance the deployment of geothermal region-wide.

The timing is ideal: The Mexican government recently announced that the international private sector can participate in national geothermal development, opening the door to new partnerships and investment. Elsewhere in the region, there is a new momentum and tangible progress from country-to-country. Now is the time.
